By Caleb Mercer, ClickNNY North Country Desk
James W. Wright will seek a full two-year term as Watertown town supervisor in the Nov. 3 election, running as a write-in candidate after being appointed to the position following Joel R. Bartlett’s retirement.
Wright agreed to run after encouragement from friends and town and Jefferson County Republican leaders. The town supervisor position is the only race mentioned for the office, with no other candidate coming forward, according to the available report.
Wright will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot only as a write-in candidate for the town supervisor position.
