North Country high school teams post results in soccer, football and more
Teams from across the North Country competed in football, soccer, cross country, swimming, tennis, volleyball and college hockey on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026.

Results reported for Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, included Watertown’s 36-8 football win over Nottingham, Beaver River’s 28-18 victory over Sandy Creek and Potsdam’s 32-0 football win over St. Lawrence Central.
In boys soccer, Watertown beat Lowville 3-0, while Copenhagen defeated LaFargeville 11-0. In girls soccer, Lisbon beat Norwood-Norfolk 8-0, and Salmon River defeated Brushton-Moira 3-0.
Other results included Watertown’s 115-61 girls swimming win over Mexico, Copenhagen’s 4-1 girls tennis victory over Watertown, and a 3-0 volleyball win by Tupper Lake over Gouverneur. In college women’s hockey, Maine defeated St. Lawrence 4-3.
